Bulembu

Bulembu began in the 1930's as a mining town with a population of 10,000. In 2001, the mining company closed down, leaving no job prospects and gradually Bulembu became an abandoned town.

Bulembu's success to date is through its Community Enterprise and Community Care initiatives.  At the heart of Bulembu is Sustainability, developing local leaders through orphan care, education, health services and commerce, aiming towards a vibrant, self-sustaining community.

Bulembu is a passionate story of Hope.
